Stage 3-1 (Part 1)
It’s a smiley world! Run up a bit and a regular thug will appear from the alley to your right and an elite hat-lady from a door to your left. Take out the thug ASAP so that you can deal with the hat-lady alone, or you can run away far enough and the lady will leave you alone. The hat-ladies are the tougher of regular lady enemies, annoying for her boomerang-hat attack. Fortunately, ducking evades from most of her attacks; just watch out for her slam attack.
To the left is an alleyway leading to a dead-end with a regular thug and a lady-in-white (both non-elites). When you’re done with them, get out of that alleyway and enter the door to your left (where the hat-lady came out from) to see a villager, clown and regular thug (taunt the clown out). The villager will take refuge in the alley on the right so after these two enemies, follow him to claim your reward.
From the villager, turn left and you should see a blue box. Pick it up and throw it at the zebra-striped thug (elite) nearby, then taunt him over. He has pretty high HP but save your godhand if possible (1-2 of the enemies in this area are very likely to turn into a demon if it hasn’t appeared already). All this time, try not to let the 2 enemies on the other side (1 skinny ass, 1 lady-in-white) catch your attention just so you can deal with zebra-striped alone.
Stage 3-1 (Part 2)
When you’re done, a gate on the end side will open and 1 lady-in-white and regular thug will run in. Don’t worry about them though; they won’t come to you until you approach them, so you can deal with the lady-in-white + skinny ass first by the table. There’s an umbrella right by them that you can pull out to use as a weapon but I suggest leaving it for now since the two are likely to catch you unguarded.
After killing those two, proceed to the other two and then go past the open gate to meet with 2 skinny asses. There’s another umbrella to your left; pull it out and throw it at the skinny ass on the left from where you stand. If luck’s on your side, he might just fly back and hit the spinning blades beyond the gate they stand. Mwahaha!
Depending on your enemy level, the umbrella may or may not kill the skinny ass, so assuming he’s not dead yet, try to finish the other skinny ass before the first one comes back to interrupt. If you need more objects to throw, there’re always 2 more boxes around the corner nearby.
There are 3 routes to this easy little 'maze'. The left one is a straight path that takes you to a dead-end with a lady-in-white and a box. The right route has 2 enemies (1 regular thug, 1 hat-lady), both waiting for you separately. They’re optional as well but at the end of that path is a Little Devil challenge, which is one of the hardest in my opinion, especially if you have don’t have enough health/TP/roulette orbs.
In this challenge you’ll face 3 waves of enemies under a 2 minute limit – 2 ladies-in-white + 1 clown, 2 ladies-in-white + 1 hat-lady, 1 robot thug. As the battle begins, stand where you are and wait for the 2 ladies-in-white to run towards you. If you have 1 orb, use Typhoon Kick/La Bomba to clear both ladies quickly. La Bomba may not kill them instantly if they’re at LV 3-DIE, so keep attacking until they die. I recommend roundhouse-cancels.
Considering you’ve been fighting the ladies far away from the clown, he should still be sleeping after their defeat, so run over and sneak in a few Yes Man Kablaams (using evade-cancel) to fill up your TP if it isn’t full already. The clown is really easy to deal with when he’s alone. Just keep breaking his guards and spam YMK whenever you can to prepare for the second wave.
Once the second wave appears, unleash godhand (pray that you have enough TP >_>”) and kill off the 2 ladies-in-white first before the hat-lady. Deal with the hat-lady cautiously and like the clown, try to get in as many YMKs as possible.
Against the last wave (1 robot thug), use everything (roulette/godhand) you’ve got remaining just to get it over with. If not, you can deal with him the usual way you do against an elite thug, only, watch out for your time limit.
After Little Devil’s challenge, go back to the beginning of the ‘maze’ and take the center route. At one point there’ll be a little fork; if you turn to the right, you’ll see a skinny ass. He’s optional but the explosive can hidden around the corner may be tempting…? In any case, he’s alone, so why not. Take him down, pick up the explosive can at the dead end, turn back around and follow the remaining path and you’ll eventually get out of the maze and see a clown and a lady-in-white; throw the can at the lady and she'll come to you on her own. After these two, a zebra-striped thug will show up. One of these three is likely to turn into a demon.
Boss Fight - Gorilla Mask
Little King Kong ain’t gonna scare Gene, but he does have a couple interestingly annoying moves.
1) He grabs you with an arm, then slam you against the ground left and right (high damage). Back flipping in time will avoid this but if you get caught anyway, make sure to shake your analog stick fast enough for your giveaway Gorilla Suplex.
2) He grabs you with both hands, slams you against the ground, climbs up the little platform in the center and jumps on you. Anticipate the button that’ll appear before he jumps and press it quickly to avoid his body slam. That’ll damage him some bit.
3) He does 2 quick punches, or swings around with his arms stretched out. Duck to evade either attack.
4) He gets up, usually after falling, and does a backward leap-kick with both feet. This can be annoying. You may be able to back flip away if you’re far enough but side-dodges probably work better.
5) He leaps and kicks you in the face with both feet. This is very annoying. You can only side dodge or back flip at the right time. (Side dodge is safer)
After taking down about half his life, Gorilla Mask may start doing the silly God Hand dance and summon a midget who’ll bring him bananas. I’ve always had a problem with this but just as I was recording my footage to take all these screenshots for this very page, I realized what the hell… just Ball Buster him. As he’s stunned, quickly run up to the midget, punch him once and take the banana for yourself ASAP before the gorilla recovers.
Lastly, there’s a bus stand next to the bench where the gorilla sat which you can pull out to use as a weapon. If you must use a roulette against this gorilla, pick Ball Buster. It works extremely well on him so long you don’t forget to do the following Gorilla Suplex.
Stage 3-3 (Part 1)
In this area you’ll see the enemies busy dancing. Pick up the blue box closest to you on the right and throw it at the lady-in-white to the left (the box will drop a rocket launcher). While she’s stunned, taunt her over and take her out. Now look straight forward and you should see two regular thugs laughing at a villager who’s being forced to dance. (LOL) Pick up the rocket launcher, face the thugs and taunt them. This will provoke them to come over so blast them with the rocket launcher when they’re close. Depending on your enemy level, this may or may not kill them instantly.
Anyway, throw the rocket launcher at them if they’re still alive, or throw it at the 2 regular thugs further back who’re bullying a villager after taunting at them (so that they’ll approach you just the two of them). When the regular thugs are all done with, take out the clown to the left by the umbrella, then the lady-in-white nearby, and lastly the zebra-striped thug (all of them one on one). This way you deal with as few enemies as possible rather than have all of them gang up on you.
Stage 3-3 (Part 2)
Once all these guys are down, 1 hat-lady and lady-in-white will appear by the gate to the left, and another zebra-striped thug at the far end. If you go into the opening to the right you’ll find the 2 villagers you just saved, a few blue boxes and an explosive can. Take what you need and the explosive can, go back to the ladies and throw it at them, then finish any remaining life the usual way.
Once done, go past where they stood to meet with another hat-lady and a skinny ass. Use your godhand if you have to take out the skinny ass first, then damage the hat-lady as much as possible before your unleash ends. It’s easier to deal with her alone.
After these two, go around the corner to meet a clown. Spam Yes Man Kablaam on him to refill as much TP as possible, then pull the switch nearby. There’s a regular thug nearly with a few blue boxes, so get him. =) The last one remaining now is the zebra-striped thug nearby; unleash godhand at him and save your roulettes for now.
After him, spam Yes Man Kablaam on the beat-the-door to fully refill your TP. Mwahahaha! Now, you can either run back to the center of this area to fight (optional) 2 ladies-in-white and 1 clown or just continue forth. If you wish to fight the 3 optional enemies, you can always unleash godhand and refill your TP again using the door. Cheapness owns. =P
Past the beat-the-door is a blue box (it’ll drop a banana) and umbrella to your left, and 1 clown and skinny ass at the end. Pull out the umbrella and throw it at the skinny ass, then deal with the rest the usual way.
Boss Fight - Mad Midget Five
Say hello to God Hand’s viewtiful power midget rangers. These midgets won’t stop reminding you that they’re midgets when you realize most of your punches don’t hit them. Thankfully, there are a few things you can abuse to your advantage.
Thanks to their inability to recover in mid-air, these midgets are highly vulnerable against roundhouse-cancels (or any move that sweeps the enemy off ground). So long you don’t get interrupted by any of them (or if you have godhand unleashed), you can roundhouse-cancel them all to death. Just pray that they’ll enter your range so that every kick will hit as many as possible, although typically you’ll only hit 3 of them at once. Typhoon Kick will also prove to be useful.
Also, all midgets are launchable regardless of their enemy level. You can do face kicks/tackles (dash + [] or /\), launch techniques or even throw objects at them and they'll fly.
Now that you know how to attack, you gotta know how to defend. These midgets do body slams a lot and they often come at you together. Back flip to avoid their body slams. They also do little arm swings that dizzy you when hit so do everything you can to back out of the way. (I know it’s hard to keep track of all 5 of them)
When you see them line up in a straight row, it means they’re preparing to shoot their laser beams. Depending on where you stand and what direction you’re facing, you might have to dash past the room or side dodge nonstop and pray you don’t get it. >_>” In any case, after they perform their laser beams they’ll always leave you 2 seconds of opening/vulnerability. Another of their attacks is the collaboration attack where two of them will roll around like a wheel. Either run or side dodge all the way.
Stage 3-5
If there’re any fruits/cards left unpicked in the midgets’ area/room, leave them. We’ll come back to them later. Follow the path and you’ll come upon a mini game. Just hit the corresponding button when each ball blinks red. Also, before you start the game, break all the crates nearby, though you don’t have to pick up what you don’t need just yet.
Anyway, after the mini game, the elite thug on the ship will approach you. I recommend that you fight him on the mast so that you only have to worry about one attack direction. Use him to build up your TP and save it for later.
On the ship are tons of goodies...and a few baddies. =P Open the 2 gold chests there and you’ll receive a key and a free roulette – 100 Fists. When you’re ready to leave, pick up the gold club the thug on the ship dropped and go back where you came from. In the same room you fought the midgets, 2 blade fatties will appear. Throw the club at (one of) them immediately, then finish them normally. (The blade fatties are annoying, hence the reason I suggested leaving any items unpicked from the midgets’ battle so that you can use them now.)
Back outside, notice that the umbrella you pulled out before is back in place! Pull it out again and use it to take out one of the skinny asses by the other door. If your TP isn’t full by now, use the surviving one to refill it using Yes Man Kablaam.
Stage 3-6
This place is just a joke. =) Enjoy watching the puppies, break all the objects, pick up all items and prepare for a boss fight, but before you leave this place, remember to break the tent nearby for a statue (like the one in stage 1-1). Beat it up to receive your freebie item.
Boss Fight - Shannon
Shannon’s most annoying attack is her projectiles, which are capable of dizzying you. She shoots a lot of them at once, and though you can duck most of them, some aren’t duck-able (you’ll have to side dodge). To prevent her from doing this move, I suggest you stay close to her at all times.
Sometimes Shannon shoots a heart-shaped projectile that turns you into a Chihuahua; it does not damage you when hit but Shannon will attempt to kick you. To avoid this, simply ‘back flip’ (the dog back steps instead) so make sure you have room behind to back step to. In Chihuahua form, you cannot pick up items nor break objects. After a while you’ll turn back into human.
When you’re up close, she is more likely to perform only close range attacks, most of which you can take advantage of by punching her while she’s initiating it, then back flip immediately to avoid her hits. Doing a face kick will stun her for a short time and she’s likely to guard on your second/third punch, so you can easily anticipate when to do a guard break.
A single godhand release should be enough to dizzy her, so spank her before your unleash ends. If you were to use a roulette, use 100 Fists or Chain Yanker. Don’t ever accidentally select Ball Buster unless you just wanna see what happens =P
Now, notice that there’s a cage in the center. This part is entirely optional and can be a pain in the ass but if you’re seriously running out of health, the strawberry (and the gold card + bikini card + gold chest) inside might just seem tempting.
In the cage, you’ll get locked up and you’ll have to deal with a hat-lady and a zebra-striped thug. I suggest you unleash godhand and take out the hat-lady first. If you don’t have godhand, pick up the bikini card. After that, defeat the thug (spam Yes Man Kablaam whenever possible for TP) and a demon will show up. If you want to deal with him easy, do Dragon Kick/100 Fists on him; you should have enough orbs from the gold card.
Now that you’re done with the cage and have enough TP (or not), either run out of it immediately or prepare to duck Shannon’s projectiles. She tends to shoot them at you from outside the moment you’re done with the cage. Then use godhand on her, or deal with her the normal way.
